I basically just have no faith in a game made by the same people who made rogue.

When the community is 100% capable of ruining the gameplay for people, that is a 100% valid reason to dislike the game.

I never actually bothered to play rogue but from what I’ve heard, if you can get past the players that make it near unplayable and way more stressful than it deserves to be, its actually a quality game.
So you’re just gonna not have any hope for deepwoken, a game that already fixed the issues to trigger such a toxic community because you’re afraid of gaia dwellers? Most of the people that come in as long as they’re good are usually the nice variety anyways. Most gaiadwellers will likely hate deepwoken because they can’t one combo anymore.
From what I’ve seen, they never said that the endgame wouldn’t be “hey go kill 100 players”
So yes I am concerned.
They seem to be putting great care into not ruining the game.

And deepwoken is meant to be more pve based as well.

Yes I will judge a game on how confident the devs are that I’d actually want to buy it after going through a demo.
It is. However, I’m willing to deal with a certain amount of bullshit. After all, Deepwoken looks like one of the only Roblox games with an identity of its own.

You’ll have guides. And reviews. And even gameplay footage to go off of.
Many youtubers will make The Deepwoken Experience Or something like that.
It wont compare to the real deal but it’ll deffo come close.
The gap between watching gameplay and playing gameplay is absolutely massive.
Its like watching gameplay footage of Black Magic 2 from the perspective of a top player.
You see all these flashy attacks that they’re doing and how awesome the game looks, only then to realize that you’ll need your entire keyboard to do the combo they just did.

All I can promise you right now is.
It’ll DEFINITELY be easier to progress normally than in rogue.

And ship fights
It’ll only be hard.
But I love difficulty.
If you enjoy games like hollow knight, deepwoken will be something that you’ll like.
If the game is anything like Rogue, it’ll be FAR harder than Hollow Knight.
It’s literally everything rogue was trying to be. A game with limitless exploration. An actual difficult experience. You have no tutorial just guides. Hollow knight was all 3 of those.
