The name “Silas” still throws me off since I just think of Silas the Silent, another character from the arcaneverse lol. Maybe I’ll get used to it eventually.

I don’t really know much about Silas, wasn’t he just a ghost in an event people made a big deal out of? Need to do more research. I really like the art! I think your take seems really interesting and would prob fit in with what the story is set like. While I like an ambiguous protag I respect yours! Keep cooking 
Was this Silas inspired by BOTW Link he kind of looks like Link he’s got the sword on his back and when the real lightning is imbue it will look similar to the master swords glow and golden spirit energy imbuement could be a reference to the Light Dragon
I actually think Silas is blind in his left eye from Julian’s attack and wears an eyepatch. We can see he wears a bandage that covers his left eye in the mines.
I don’t like the idea of Silas being a protag myself however I like to imagine later in the story they take the eyepatch off due to their eye being affected by magic. Doesn’t sound sensical but I totally like the idea of an eye they regrow with is the colour of their magic or spirit energy.
