Reminders for AO (Part 2)

That’s what I’m guessing but so far we’ve seen nothing about this on the trello other than lost spells

Alr so it took a while to compile my thoughts. I’m thinking that they’re tiers based on the stats needed to use them, therefore determining what tier build types (pure, hybrid savant) can use. Ill use some scenarios using weapon qualities and these tiers as examples

Weapons have a “weapon quality” stat, which determines the stat points required to use its skills

  • So basically, requirements for the highest quality legendary weapons at endgame will range from 1200 to almost 2000 weapon stat (I’m thinking around 1800). These legendary weapons will only be usable by warriors, and some only by full weapon stat mains. Then you’ll have lower quality legendary weapons that will have requirements ranging from 800 to almost 1200 weapon stats. These weapons can be used by weapon hybrid classes.
  • Then you have lost weapons. The higher quality ones for these will require 800+, so they’re easily accessible to hybrids. The lower quality ones will have requirements ranging from around 600-800, meaning savants with more point in the weapon stat will be able to use them.
  • Finally rare weapons. The higher quality rare weapons require around 300-500 weapon stat. These can easily be used by Savants, and the lower quality ones can be used by non-weapon builds that only have a small percentage of their points in weapons for some reason.

TL:DR

  • Higher quality legendary weapons can only be used by pure warriors while lower quality can be used by weapon hybrids. Legendary weapons cannot be used by Savants.
  • Higher quality lost weapons can be used by warriors and weapon hybrids, while lower quality lost weapons can be used by savants.
  • Higher quality rare weapons can be used by savants with a high weapon stat and any weapon build, while low quality rare weapons can be used by anyone with some points in weapons

And I can imagine this concept applying to things like rare, lost, and ancient spells/techniques, with the more powerful ones needing the most stat points and the more common ones needing less

(This was mostly just hasty random thinking, no idea if weapon skills even work like this lmao)

The brink of death
(you almost die)

yeah story wise thats the point, who is the one sending you in this state?

Might not be us, someone close to us might be on the brink of death

Moden dying early in story?

Would be heartbreaking :pensive:

Lmao that just adds to my list of similarities between AO and AA stories

The duality of man

I find it odd that he references a gamepass for the magic section, maybe it’s also meant for wands, tomes, etc but it’s sent to the gamepass card since the other ones don’t have a card?

I absolutely hate the fact that we are probably going to get a part 3 to this topic (possibly 4).

Definitely not a part 4 since it took half of AO to get here, a part 3 is very possible though if he keeps giving bunches of info like the new card

A majority of the messages were in the past 6 months I believe

And there is 6 months until early access will most likely release, not much room for a part 4.

It also depends on how much that majority was
