How to deal with PVP heads
one of the most annoying and recurring suggestions is that to add a toggle pvp button or to remove pvp from the game (both bad ideas) so this is the easiest and most effective way to deal with it:

Noob Protection
most annoying part of pvp heads: they are always too bad to fight against other pvp heads so they fight people that are fresh out of Sailor’s Lodge, my proposal is: When you create a new file, it has 24 hours (or more/less) of immunity to PVP, and upon reaching level 125 (independent of current max) it is deactivated

it can be de-activated at any point of progression (turning on becoming a villain along with pvp) but can’t be re-activated
to give a reason for people to turn it off, it could give a 10% or more xp buff when not under noob protection, that would not only give players a reason to turn noob protection off, as it helps with how slow the progression currently is

im pretty sure its a troll

let the cooldowns be universal so that even after redocking they’re still there or they refresh when you redock so you have to wait 5 mins or whatever it’s better that way then how it is now…

like the idea of throwable bombs for warlord builds, we got throwable potions so combustion potions may be bombs for not i’m not sure but we need more alchemist builds totally

Make it so you can hunt neutral players if they’re in a clan with enough infamy it’s annoying how neutral players in massive clans can just walk around with all that infamy and not get hunted.

lol they do that so they don’t get people crawling on their backs whenever they try do anything

Make it so that lightning in the dark sea has a far lower chance of striking you. This is annoying, especially when Zeus decides to unleash his fury while you’re in the middle of fighting a ####### Atlantean.

2 ideas i had, i’ll start with the less promising one, weapon skills for repair hammers and the 2nd one being that players will only lose infamy they have gained for the clan when hunted which is taken away from the clan and their contribution that way players with higher infamy contribution are more likely to be hunted and players that have just joined or got back into the game

I feel like if you’re gonna be in a 300k infamy clan you better have some pvp skills to back it up.

the amount of times… factor in water poisoning and factor in the lightning damage being able to deal 1k+ dmg, and oh gosh the lag

there’s alot of pve clans out there and most the time alot of people play on low end PCs amongst other things

Infamy is primarily gained through pvp at least that’s the most efficient way to grind it and I’ve never heard of a pve clan getting high on the leaderboard so to me any clan with high infamy is pretty much a target on your back.

infamy is generated from islands as the original source and then huntings gets thrown in the mix, clans high on the leaderboard have PvE subclans or PvE members who know how to stay out of sight, to give you an idea most players are PvE

Infamy generated from islands is incredibly slow though in the current ao pvp is so much faster than islands for getting infamy not to mention that even claiming islands for infamy can have pvp involved as for pve members in pvp clans in my opinion infamy should be a mostly pvp thing and therefor players that don’t want to pvp should stay away from high infamy clans.

most players dont like wasting other players time, i don’t want to skip servers and steal claims and feel stressed, remember AO is not a fighting game, it’s part of the game yes but keep in mind this is an RPG and people roleplay i get people that dont wanna pvp may wanna stay away from high infamy clans thats not the reality though, pvp is faster but the infamy you get from pvp is infamy that was sourced from islands/ chests/ buried treasure at the end of the day;

keep in mind most of the game isn’t pvp related and there’s not much to stop players from doing what they want and joining high infamy clans as friends or guests, claiming islands can have pvp involved yes, AO is a majority PvE game by far though
I take it you’re used to playing other games where pvp is a major feature such as deepwoken, so far the current audience for AO don’t have higher-end PCs much like deepwoken players etc. etc…
I agree clans should be worked on however I remember someone earlier suggesting that neutral players should be able to stay neutral and not gain fame or bounty much for doing good or bad things being like off-grid so keep that in mind

Yeah, high infamy clans are scary, I own a small bank with ~35K infamy all on my own… And ive lost at least 5K being seen as free infamy (Which I am) from the high clans…

yeah you gotta be “player aware” check who joins and all that there’s people out there to get you lol
