Aaalright fine @arericarnau you win.

So, you guys know how our main character sees a rare/lost spell scroll, reads it, and then suddenly decides to eat it and forget what was there entirely? Like, learns about the existence of the spell and forgets it entirely when you click “forget”?
And I mean, it would make sense for such button - but why wouldn’t normal spells be completely forgotten entirely? Is it because they are too simple?

So, to fix this and finally make our character able to recall the unique spells I have thought of a Ritual concept - which would totallyyyy be able to fit in lore and not make Vetex flame me for no reason, trust me.

Jokes aside.

Ritual Casting
Rituals will be a special action available to players through Magic Obelisks that will appear around different islands - rarely on normal islands and commonly on magic infused ones or barren islands (Similar to Akursius Keep or dark sea islands). They can be interacted with by players - for example, redirecting magic energy (By using certain spells) or conducting it for summoning buffed versions of average spells like Explosion or even Quake.
In the end - casting a magic ritual that can positively affect the player in a certain way, for example supercharging him with the magic the obelisk got infused with. This ritual COULD be casted by flaunting and a certain key. And after some time the ritual will fully activate, summoning multiple magic runes around you. This will allow you multiple choices, from channeling multiple magic energies (If multiple ally players are nearby) to cast a powerful magic attack, or something else entirely. But this suggestion talks about recovering unique spells. After choosing the option to recover an unique spell, you gain the list of KNOWN spells, meaning you cannot get an Annihilation spell if you did not use an Annihilation spell scroll before. This will then last 25 seconds of a cutscene (Which can be interrupted) until finalizing the process, and boom! You get your spell back.

Now this is just a suggestion about spell recovering, the suggestion about obelisks in general is “coming soon”.

This seems needlessly complicated and I’m fairly sure most players would just pop over to the nearest auction and just.. re-buy the scroll before going to all this effort.

Last i checked, a day or so ago, the cheapest flight scroll in the auction was 480k.
I don’t think anyone will just pop over and buy it again rather than this

id fw a less complicated way but by default yes, being able to get em back would be nice

I love complexity

I think this would be more worthwhile if you could instead permanently learn a rare spell as an option when creating magic.

You offer the obelisk a scroll, select the magic if you have the level for it, and it permanently marks your brain with it allowing you to recall that spell scroll at any time for personal spell use from the normal spell creation menu for that specific magic.

Just make them like hecate essence but rarer and in the far extent of the dark sea, if not actually in the epicenter. Since its arguably more useful than the hecate essence as it can completely nullify having to ever use that scroll again.

It be much harder to find, and much more arduous since not only is it a rare chance, you have to seek out the epicenter which is randomly placed.

Seems fine to me mostly, though them being in the Epicenter just seems too unfair and LoRe ReAsOnS

When i’m writing the Magic Obelisks suggestion i’ll think if I add something from your idea

This most likely would be the way to do it, Makes no actual sense that you just randomly forget how to cast a spell, so taking a scroll to the epicenter and giving it like a 2 day cooldown to learn it permanently in the crater could be a good tradeoff to never have to buy it again? Although I have a feeling the Epicenter is probably gonna be used for magic mutations or ancient magics or something like that
