finding where ur ship is is really annoying and redocking ships for some reason spawns them in the same place instead of near the dock u redocked at.

Add a ship whistle that spawns your boat where you are , you have to be near ocean. Kinda like deepwoken. and it wont work if you have chests and cargo on it. then remove redock.

also remove the slow speed on ships when they are low health. i hate spawning at the edge of the map with a 1 hp ketch and takes me 20 minutes just to get to a place to repair it. i get why its slow but cmon, smooth gameplay is way better than immersion for the sake of it, i mean imagine if players moved slow when their health is low for immersion cause they are injured, that would be a drag.

I personally am fine with it being slow at low HP, it may be a pain, but then you’d have to apply the same thing to NPC ships and you’d have enemy brings running into you at max speed and doing maneuvers at max efficiency even if they’re 10HP

It’s not realistic in the least, obviously, and just feels cheap to see a ship going max speed and the suddenly implode and start sinking because a number went down a little bit.

Alright so you should be excited to know that we’re getting a flare gun that’ll let you easily find your ship (at the cost of letting everything else know exactly where you are)

So you shoot the flare, watch for the response from your ship, and then decide if you want to fight or run for your life.

It’s not exactly for immersion purposes but rather for balancing in ships from the looks of it, considering ship battles are now being looked at again, speed being scaled to your ship hp matters especially when you’re no longer able to board a moving ship.

not being able to board a moving ship kinda sucks

Blame people that doesn’t want to engage in naval combat, getting attacked in person while steering a moving ship is getting annoying which forces them to stop their ship if they want to fight back while not risking falling. At that point, why bother looking for stuff to upgrade your ship when a single player getting onboard would make all your efforts in obtaining them worthless .

just make the ship slows when you have the combat tag active, done problem solved no more level 20 sailboat people with snail speed yeyyy

That’s certainly a solution but it would bring about other problems as well, why should people invest in sailing speed ship parts and deckhands when it would become useless by taking or dealing damage even in the smallest amount in any form of combat?

By that design, sailing speed would also become useless in the dark sea since a single thunder strike or an attack from atlantean brigs would render your ship’s investment in sailing speed useless, and if you ever tried doing a dark sea expedition, you know full well how important it is to have sailing speed.

i mean, it should only reduce your ship speed (like how currently works, idk what you mean lmao) if you are in combat tag

so if your ship hp is at 200/26000 for example, then in combat it should be slow, without the combat tag the speed shouldnt be affected

Ah I see what you mean now, my bad since you worded it in a way that even ships with max health would slow down, though yeah that’s actually a good idea.

Honestly, don’t have much of a problem with the low hp thing but I do have to admit that not being able to locate where you left your ship when you go on land is very real. Especially when you land somewhere on ravenna and then you gotta start thinking if you left it in tiberia or rubica or rasna (even worse with sameria).

But I guess this does solve that problem. Although I would have preferred something like a ping that triggers when you press a button instead (kind of like how the markers for side quests appear on screen when you accept the quest)

This is part of the new fleet research system.
As you progress it, you’ll get access to new tools that’ll help you in the dark sea.
The flare gun is just one of them, we’re also getting attachable rowboat docks if I remember right, I just don’t remember the full list lol.

thats kinda stupid since we have pvp toggle though. but it makes pvp less fun if u cant board moving ships

why not look at rell seas and instead of complicating it will a “stand still and try again” make as if your placing down a wall when building a fort and it turns red if the ship is obstructed.

On top of that.

PLEASE I wanna aim with my motars but it keeps moving up the my screen instead of away from it.

Literally whenever i attempt to raid fort Castrum, i am unable to use my siege weapon to siege

If i was able to use my mortar on the place i could prob do a solo raid
