The horse update for WoM is coming after another 7 major updates, but the map is already starting to get pretty big. With the addition of Summer Hold and Bell Village it’s going to take even longer to get from place to place, I assume with future updates other towns will also be added and a better way for transportation would become more and more of a necessity. I don’t know how big the map will be by the time the horse update rolls around so I’m unsure if it would even matter for it to be prioritized sooner.

Considering that we are getting a new spell type at level 50 (High Jump Spells) that may aid a little in getting from point A to point B when they are adjusted, I think we will be able to handle getting around without horses. Plus, stamina regenerates faster outside of combat now.
Imo, horses are cool but they can wait.

Soon enough we will have Flight spells, so I don’t think that they’ll be THAT necessary; however, it’s true that horses will become obsolete when Flight spells will eventually be available.
Perhaps the gimmick that could work would be to add them when guilds are added.

But for heavier magics some may prefer horses over magic because of speed and consistency (needing to stop less).
