So Vetex has said Silas’ canonically class would be a savant though personally I doubt they’d use strength at all though maybe a weapon? But honestly Silas feels more like a paladin. They’re a legacy so they have innate spirit control (though I don’t think they’d go the spirit mutation route unless there’s a spirit-lightning magic) and lightning magic. I feel like they’d be a paladin with Aether lightning and their funny necklace
Fully agreed, Savant is - at least in my opinion - a lazy way of saying the player character has all possibilities.
In lore, it’d be factually worse to be a savant, as you generalize yourself too much, too average at most things, not good at any.
That was the entire issue Calvus faced, he was a savant trying to perfect himself, but failed due to the previous statement, Silas would be in the same boat if not worse, due to the fact Calvus has a Lost Magic, has quite literally the entire Ravenna resources at his finger tips, AND is a high ranking within the Order of the Aesir.
Therefore, I agree with Paladin Silas.
Yeah calvus being a savant as hit me you mentioned was his downfall, Silas being one then winning always felt weird.
Though Silas being a paladin learning to meld the two even if not a mutation would make more sense
Probably done just to give Morden’s dagger, the flintlock from Redwake, and maybe some boss drops plot relevancy
Maybe though this is a game that loves being non canon to its lore
Well now you reminded me of the fact that flintlock can solo the entire verse…
If Silas was smart, he would’ve just snuck up on everyone and blasted their brains out and smeared them all over the floor and the walls and the ceiling
Pretty much but I doubt they would as it’s not vetex’s will
I feel like Silas would be conjurevant with spirit as the dump stat
I feel if they truly were a savant. Weapon would be the dump. Magic is obv a focus and for the strongest will of legacies spirit feels too important for them (which is funny that I doubt they canonically get a spirit mutation). Weapons feels the less thematic to them for those 3.
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, Calvus did not suck because he’s a savant, he sucked because he tried to compensate lack of training with more abilities.
I think Silas would use cannon fist, because bro is not so serious like that.
Silas may not be, but Vetex is such a cornbaall the entire midwest couldn’t supply enough corn to make a 1:100 replica
If there’s a fighting style, it’s probably something like “Destruction fist” or “Apocalypse leg” or “Ultra omega hyper annihilator style”
this man has no idea how to make a game with stat allocation.
Savant can be 4-way or 3-way, it’s entirely possible Silas uses spirit magic and weapons but ignores strength for the most part due to lack of time for training
hes a savant because classes dont exist in lore, there is no reason why silas wouldnt use a mix of a lot of different things
Mixing is bad it’s the reason calvus is weak. Hes doing to much and mastered none. Even if classes are non canon people still favor styles even if they can do anything you don’t always do everything
Like sure he could do weapons it’s just I don’t see why he would. He has spirit and magic I don’t see the great need he’d have for a weapon. At that point he’d be spreading him self with the only few months he has up to calvus
As if Lightning paladin isn’t bad ![]()
You’re thinking gameplay. Lore wise it works just as well as others if anything they meld as the Eagle necklace is lightning and it’s highly possible you can meld the two ideas easier since they’re innately similar
Lore synergies also seem more flexible like ceaser mixing bronze (metal magic) and his aether lightning
