1. Are gel synergies subject to the self-synergy penalty like Hybrids, or do you get the full value?

2. Do potion statuses stack with innate statuses to produce a stronger effect? Could I theoretically apply poison grease to my poison imbued poison tooth dagger with a poison blood disease to get poison IV?

no, they get the full value (i tested it in the main game)
however, they don’t proc immediately
for example if u have bleed gel on lightning magic, your first hit doesn’t get a damage bonus
it’s only your second hit when they’re already bleeding that u get the damage bonus
