Eclipse is a redditor posing as a critique; He does occasionally make fair points, but he most oftens doesnât tackle any of the actual problems a game would have to instead troll their community for future content.
His entire channel is about making himself look smart by putting down those dumber than him, and his skill level is that of the professional game journalistâs.
Somehow though, people would rather watch him than learn a bit about game design and figure it out for for themselves.

I think like half of my favorite games have an eclipse review dogging on it so my hopes for this one wouldnât be super high
most of the reviews Iâve seen from him are very surface level reviews of the first hour or so of gameplay (like AO he didnât get past cirrus island)
him pointing out obvious flaws in a game does tackle problems a game has
sure the way he says it is often not the kindest and might come off as ragebaity
Humans breath. This is not revolutionary information that will change the future of the world, for we already all know it; It is the same with his comments and videos, yet said in a way that would offend fanatics so that he may later mock them.
Sure, he is no fool. He has found a way to exploit the peopleâs idiocy for his own benefits, but this is where it stops. He doesnât dig any deeper, doesnât teach anyone anything, doesnât show ways in which those games could solve these issuesâhe merely mocks and jests.

eclipse is the same guy that said ao is bad because its just âdeepwoken but worseâ when the biggest similarity both games have is that they take place on a mostly seabased map
hes just going to shit on the game to ragebait people and make another video a few weeks later titled âsalty ao fans cant handle criticismâ or something like that
