Spirit and Magic shennanigans

Sooooooooooo to stop derailing various topics about the implications of spirit and magic, and what its applications are I will discuss all probabilities of this funky magic system here.

Now, the laws of spirit and magic (tell me so I can edit if retconned or false):

Spirit cannot be used to create new mass, only redefine/influence the amount in a certain area, only able to be controlled by gods, legacies and titans (?).

Magic cannot directly affect the environment or transmutate mass like spirit can; only being able to emulate the intent of the caster (metal magic not being legit metal) as a consequence of actually being a sort of energy, which all spells will return to after a duration.

Neither spirit or magic spells unless under certain circumstances will last forever unless under certain conditions such as:

  • Being a god/titan
  • Being a curse user

Most of this is taken from the book of athena, and if anyone has any screenshots of otherwise let me know. I will incorporate screenshots from the book itself at a later time.

Do you follow Athena’s pages or the storyline

Because both say the complete opposite to what the other says

Should be able to due to it being energy akin to gravity or dark energy, regardless of verse (excluding deepwoken since that entire cacophany of lore is phaked 8 ways to sunday). Even with the book of athena stating that magic causes harm by affecting other magic, it still can affect spirit; therefore it is capable of causing harm/destruction regardless of magic level.

Also harm could just be the way its worded lol.

Both are valid sources, but athena’s pages are more recent. Truly, depends on the argument and whether or not vetex pulls out the retcon.
