Description
Stasis-Orbs are crystal orbs made from arcanium that interacts with the magic attributed to an item, there are 2 Kind of stasis orbs

IMBUED
Imbued stasis orbs have a magic applied to them, once you use up one, you can apply the orb to any item, changing its magic to that of the Stasis Orb, this only affects the visuals and locks the item to vanity options, shows up with an hat symbol on the bottom left
NEUTRAL
You can apply this orb to a Fire Arcsphere to keep the element frozen to Arcsphere, as such, wearing it while having water magic wouldn’t result in the Arcsphere main element changing.
As a drawback, the item becomes only wieldable as a vanity, indicated by an hat symbol on the bottom left.
A warning describing the effects of this orb should be added uppon usage, as to avoid accidental wastes.

How to obtain

  • You can rarely buy them from the “Dye” npc’s in the Nimbus Sea
  • You can craft the Imbued version using x5 Sunken Element & a reagant corresponding to the magic/effect you wish to freeze:

Having max jewelcrafting enables you the option to choose which magic visual you wish to have uppon crafting the item, along the color variation.

Why add them?
Enable more customization options for players in AO which has been a major issue for a long time.

self rating didnt affect vote, but suggestion has effort put in and is well formatte
this was already removed so i dont think it would be added back

More customization options will never not be a good thing.

Just a heads up, don’t rate your own suggestions. There are rules against that, and though I do think it’s your first suggestion, don’t do it in the future.

I think we should just collectively stop caring or paying attention to self-rating or whatever.
It doesn’t do anything, it doesn’t hurt anyone.
Complaining about it just derails topics as you’ve done here.

All that matters is the suggestion written, not if they slapped some stars on it.

Lorewise I don’t think it makes much sense, and really theming your character around a magic they don’t have is odd.

i always wonder if people in ao do other stuff with arcanium than just weapons

Since anyone who does have access to arcanium is only concerned about being ‘the strongest’ that’s probably a no

wdym with only concerned being the “strongest”, you can get 39483948394 arcspheres in random chests that are conveniently visible on the ground around the whole world, there isnt a way to convert arcspheres back to just arcanium and… use it for other stuff like plates? idk maybe it is toxic or something lol

Probably just some reason like ‘oh it reverts back to regular metal because you melted it down and separated the magicness’

No one will really know until they ask vetex (because that’s apparently our only source of lore nowadays)

Lorewise shouldn’t be an argument to restrict every ounce of fun in your game, beside I dont see how this would break the lore in any way when you can just adjust the lore and justify this item’s existence with something like idk, probably “freezes the magic inside of an arcanium container, but this causes the magic to react less with the environment, resulting in it becoming too weak to damage things”

Yeah, well, in AO it isn’t just an argument, it’s the immovable truth

I’d find this useful to plan vanity sets without needing to do it on the character with the correct magic. I hope this would apply to all arcanium items and fighting style gear.

What does this mean? An item value of 1k, and it sells for half?

Base value at which you can sell it for dont mind it

for fighting styles im not sure of how it would work but I guess youu’dneed to get on the fighting style and use the orb

but arcanium only works with magic, not fighting styles

i guess you could make it so npcs sell locked versions of these items that dont change

all hail to lord vetex regime
