My revamped stat system removes the weapon stat, allowing for weapons to be an assistance to the other stat builds, what identity would they have in this revamped stat system? what would make them different from the other stat builds?
I had rather forgotten to elaborate on that;
Weapons by definition are tools you use to damage, for every other stat build you damage with yourself.
Oracle uses your spirit energy by relics allowing you to harness it.
Mage allows you to use magic energy to damage.
Berserker allows you to use your hands.
weapons users uses traces of magic energy to make stuff like slashs or impacts of air, and focused weapon users has enough knowledge over their spec to mimic moves from a weapon of someone else and control the power of it (like ethereal flash from calvus triasta)
weapons class has enough indentity to just be deleted
its like saying terraria should merge range and melee bc bows, pistols and swords are all weapons, or even worse, just delete range and melee and make them “tools” for mage and summoner
and i think arcanium/cestus stuff already do that
its better using them on hybrid buuuut u can use them as pure too (better than nothing, u are pure after all)
I get what this post goes for in spirit, but the cool part of arcane odyssey is that you get to customize EVERYTHING about your character. making certain stat builds SPECIFICALLY for rushdown or support or whatnot is cool but kinda ruins the versatility of the game
Fuck weapons though everyone should be able to use them ive been a believer of this since WoM W mans you see the light
