Re-add that, but you have to pay the fine before leaving the city. If you don’t, you’re considered on the run, and immediately take a massive hit to your reputation.

This encourages players to solely use low-destruction attacks in cities!:smiling_face::blush::smiling_face:

As someone who’s spent time on TV Tropes, I hate to inform you that this wouldn’t even be a concept unique to AO.

incorrect this goes in good features

Uncap the level and cancel the PVP toggle, add back in agility, replace power with armor piercing

Make equipment stats lock you into a certain minmax build
The first item you find that has a stat like power of attack size will force you to only be able to find and equip items that also have that stat

negative status effects stay until death

New status damage vulnerability (Will be given depending on the build you use)

Increases all incoming damage (Scales with 100% of resistance, which includes blocking and parrying so womp womp resistance is now a negative stat :confetti_ball: )

Description “Your body is weakened to balance out the fighting styles, weapons, spirit weapons, and magics you are currently using”

How to get

Every update instead of nerfing op builds give them damage vulnerability and the Bteam should decide which magic, fs, weapon, spirit weapons, and stat build should get the penalty

problem solved!!!

Example:

If the balance team deems a savant build using the following weapons: vindicator, Lance of loyalty, and Lion’s halberd

the magic it is using is fire

the fighting style is iron leg

and the spirit weapon is eagle patrimony, crystal ball thing, and the staff spirit weapons thing then…

What will happen

So for each thing that is deemed op the player will be given damage vulnerability and take 20% more damage for each thing used in their build (This also includes stat builds)

How this will affect AO positively

The damage vulnerability will solve all problems with META OP BUILDS! by giving players a worthy punishment for using them. It will also solve the problem with BUILD DIVERSITY!!! by encouraging people to use the most underused things in AO to avoid the status “Damage vulnerability” thus making the underused things overused and deemed op by the balance team
