Like, lately I haven’t really been posting any new writing for people to read because either:
Can’t find an idea
Have an idea, but it seems like the story is cringe/my writing isn’t good enough to make the story perfect
legit just don’t want to write
For people that normally like to read my stories(broly, sandal, a_nerd when he still existed), the reason I either end up dropping a series or legit uploading a new story after like 10,000 years, sorry ig
(tbh this probably hasn’t impacted any of you guys much at all)
So, the main point of this topic…
Do you guys know any good books(not comic books or graphic novels, like a REAL book) that I can read that you find interesting?
I like reading books by Lemony Snicket, that guy who made Matilda(roald dahl or something?), the person who made The Hunger Games, Diary of a Wimpy kid, and that’s about it.
or just comedy/realistic comedy books(like a series of unfortunate events)
tl:dr: but honestly I’m running out of ideas and I gotta recharge. I’m only good at writing because I used to read so many books, but now that I’m doing online school and stuff, I normally don’t have the actual attention span to read a book that seems boring at first.
suggest me your books
Probably not a genre you are looking for but The 6 Phase Meditation Method by Vishen Lakhiani might be able to help with your writing in ways you wouldn’t expect.
I’m not really looking for a teacher. When it comes to things I really like to do, teachers don’t really help unless it’s something that really leaves an impact on me. For example, great art.
Maybe you’ll call me a copycat, but I’m really asking for books with great plot that can inspire me to write even better.
(and also just looked it up and it doesn’t look that interesting, meditation?)
Sorry if this is rude, but I’m looking for storybooks mostly. I plan on rereading some of Lemony Snickets books or rewatching some of the ASOUE on netflix later this week or even today.
After seeing some of these suggestion it sounds a little nonsensical(not to say childish) but I remember reading this series called “Ranger’s Apprentice”. It inspired my own writing, so take that how you will.(and it starts off good from what I remember, in accordance to the tl;dr)
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is one of my favorites. Its a children’s chapter book, with only 200 pages, but it brings a really good story in those pages.
