Moving onto Sec 5’s stages.

I’ve planned out the lore much better and elaborate with a lot of old ideas being thrown down the bin.

Despite that the game is still being designed as a part/section of a full story, and I plan to leave a part of the game’s story up to the player to imagine until I improve my own skills and work on a follow up game/games.

(no I do not plan on releasing another obby after this)

I appreciate all the support from both the Trello, discord and the testers for bringing up issues or ideas to help the game feel better.

yep that would be major spoilers lol, So I’m gonna keep it in the dark.

The original lore i shared with people on discord is heavily outdated so its a full refresh

bit puzzled on how i should take things from where II am, I should have completed all the stages by now but I’m stuck with a particular idea for the 6th section and what to even portray for the section.

essentially I’m being held back by lore and portrayal which I didn’t plan properly from the beginning.

Currently stage 5 is completed and I’ve made fixes to various sound related qol (still needs more work) (thanks for the input cristopher)

so expect stage updates to be slower until I’ve brainstormed and made some of the fixes and improvements i wanna do

Changed particle effects to fade out, originally they just disappear and it didn’t look appealing.

Changed few music IDs + sound fixes (not entirely done)

My creativity is tingling…

oh yeah I’ve decided to close testing sooner then I originally wanted too. for a one play through the Base game is decent and not too annoying, once testing is closed I can focus on adding few more elements I wish to keep hidden until release + Mega secret that might take me a month or two if i actually consider doing it

Status Update: Happy to inform that skyforge’s lore has Improved a lot since my original vision.

My issue with lore was the fact that skyforge’s lore would need to play in with my future game which forces me too pre-plan lore on a more broad scale for the future (this paired with my inexperienced ass took ALOT of thinking)

currently Sec 4 and Sec 5s lore islands are completed allowing players to freely give them a check if interested and will be moving onto Sec 6’s stages

Once Sec 6 and Skyforge’s ending is completed it will take me additional time to set up badges, secrets, NPCs, etc.

I’d say it will definitely take me a month or two from here but I look forward to finishing a good and complete game

Finished ALOT OF QOL work today, along with few new mechanics and past mechanic fixes, still puzzled on stages

I’m sorry for not sharing as many assets as I did when I started the project cuz I really wanna keep most of the later assets a secret until full release

And I’m also sorry if anyone found it annoying that I talk about “lore” yet never mention any real details, it’s mainly cuz skyforge’s lore is supposed to be obscure already and if i add too much now then it wouldn’t kick right later

Progress is going good as always, I have college exams soon but it shouldn’t hinder game process much cuz I get more time to think properly

Started work a little early this morning, Finished up Respawn Anchors which are Section based Assists that prevent you from falling all the way down if you wish to use them

Entirely free to use, no consequences. Decided to add them cuz I was gonna add “TP to last section” anyways and i don’t wanna make the player go thru a reset journey

Skyforge was originally gonna be like TOH where you get no checkpoints but I’d rather not rage the player and instead distract them with other background elements and lore instead

Might update again today if finish a significant amount of work

Your gonna love the transition effect you get when you fall off a section and it TPS you back, it’s almost like a dream sequence

Finished some stages, not much today. progress may likely be slow for a while.

Work Has been slow, I’m stuck on the last few stages of sec 6

did some lore fixes, swapped from Milanote to Trello to better easily arrange information

Been taking things slow, but I’ve made progress. sec 6’s final stage is completed.

with this all that’s left to complete is the ending, new npcs and other secrets, didn’t think this project would take this long to complete but I’ve come a long way.

Still, it’s gonna take me a month minimum to finish everything at my pace, I’ll also need to figure out how exactly I wanna portray the ending of Skyforge
