Non-human spotted, arbiters go!

The lad is back

I don’t normally make posts like this but lately I’ve been… feeling kind of low on steam.

I’m in this weird limbo of not really knowing what I want my art to look like and it’s just kind of been stretching me apart

I’ve gone back to the training arc because of this

Any advice on getting my art mojo back? I know I’m not particularly well regarded in the art community here but… I guess anything helps

And if someone thinks they’re funny and says ā€œjUsT uSe ReFeReNcEs LmAo!!ā€ I will be opening a quantum slipstream at your location to an uncharted dimension beyond time and space that I will personally push you into

I do appreciate that you think so highly of my knowledge, Mr. Yes, but unfortunately, I don’t really know what to do for this either. Especially because I haven’t done much drawing myself for a while.

@DubiousLittleTyp0 , it may just be burnout, where you’ve made everything your mind can really make itself care about. If that’s the case, a break may be warranted. Take a week or two off from drawing. I’d advise you to fill that space with some other discipline, maybe something you haven’t tried before, rather than moving to time-wasters like social media, as those only destroy your motivation further.

Alternatively, you can try dramatic artstyle alterations to test some things. Pixel art, working with limited pallets, or using some other unusual gimmick can help you learn new things—and perhaps even things you’d want to port over into your regular art.
