Did you not take magics that work well with one another? You probably should have.
If you’re keeping PvP on and getting to the level where LB players are hunting you, you should be ready to fight them. Running might be tougher on mage (I dunno, I don’t do openworld pvp), but it’s certainly not as bad as you’re painting it to be.
Have you used a mage file before? Or is this a bunions attempt to defend warrior? If you don’t know about something, maybe TRY it first? And you can’t even combine magic either, you just stack 2 magics on one other to get a less than 50 dmg increase. And again, how are you going to synergize your magics, IF YOUR OPPONENT MOVES AT THE SPEED OF SOUND.
Two of my six files are mages. I have played a decent amount with mage (combined around 760 hours). I have fought warriors. I have also played as warrior against mage. Warrior is not as overtuned as you believe it to be and mage is not as horrible as you believe it to be.
If you’re talking about imbuing a magic onto another making (as combining), that’s probably part of the second awakening. Though even right now, I would say that synergies are useful.
What game mechanic is being abused here? Weapons having more mobility than mages?
You can very well get a synergy off on someone, be it through hitting a move normally or hitting them while they’re in endlag. Their mobility being better than mages doesn’t change that.
Literally every other class has zone moves just like mage, you can’t even zone when warriors or other classes bombard you will close up attacks that deal crazy damage, and mage is unnecessarily fragile. Even as a BEGINNER at Redwake, combat is OP compared to long range magic with horrible cooldowns. Combat dealing 60+ dmg a second with barely any cooldown, meanwhile, magic dealing 23-30 dmg and having like 3 second cooldown.
TBF, you really can’t run from Tool users (Weapons/Relics). Sword-Step/Spirit-Walk are ridiculous movement skills, and make it really difficult to attack a target (due to how the skill moves the target), and to run away from them.
Weapons also get the benefit of having several “Lunge” moves, which means that with decent speed stat investment, there is basically no windup to the other half of their moveset which teleports you.
The real problem is the Damage/Defense meta that juts makes every class three-shot any battle, and how Weapons are the easiest thing to mod for this.
This skilless, brainless, chud-like “CLASS” was MUTATED in satan reincarnated. In no UINIVERSE should someone’s attack be half the size of munera and have the GALL to still do over 600 DAMAGE. 900 EVEN?
