Currently Water poisoning is a very annoying feature in Dark sea that happens without warning so adding a meter will help you know when it is gonna happen

IDEA

Add a meter to Water Poisioning

Meter fills up when in contact with Dark Seawater and going outside in insanity 1 ranges. At 100% meter it will inflict Water Poisoning

Washing yourself will reset Water Poisoning to 0

Meter will only appear in insanity 1+ ranges of Dark Sea

When at 90% Water Poisoning there will be a warning saying that your Water Poisoning is high and that you should clean yourself

As long as the bar doesn’t increase while in combat or holding a sealed chest I like this suggestion

I mean it should only appear once you hit insanity 1+ ranges and I think the meter should fill up slowly idk how the water poisoning system works

I think the current system is rng everytime you get soaked, cus i’ve got poisoned just from entering insanity 1

Oh ye that should be removed and changed to everytime you get soaked the meter increases by 1%

2 ways that vetex adds this:

  1. the most clear, best addition to arcane odyssey, a fancy bar which tells the player exactly how their percentage is, maybe even with a info button which shows how it works nearby, which only appears after you enter insanity layer 1
  2. hidden mechanic which you will never see or be able to understand if you dont keep up with the trello notes, only being suggested by “you feel intoxicated” being said in the same space as the insanity text with the same font

could be implemented by starting to take small tick damage and if you dont wash or stand in cover within 30 seconds you take the full damage amount

That could be a good idea

Watch this become exactly like Cur% health Lightning Damage thread

Pls that
Water poisoining hurts my soul

A good way of keeping the danger that water poisoning provides while also making it not annoying to deal with when you get it randomly when on low health.

Just got water poisoning while in combat away from shelter and lost 30+ sealeds (hahahahahaha) so very reasonable suggestion
