There is no mistake that Water Poisoning can be mildly irritating in the Dark Sea. However, I do believe that it has its charm in making the Dark Sea feel more dangerous. It’s important to note that I am not asking for Water Poisoning Immunity, but just Water Poisoning Resistance. Something that just increases the duration it takes or lowers the chances of getting Water Poisoning.
Rain from the Dark Sea is polluted with Magic and is therefore very acidic in lore, and Sirens have been the only creature stated to resist the rain.
Now, with the recent additions of Dragons and the Darkness Talent, I believe that these are possible entry points into getting some sort of resistance to Water Poisoning.
Dragonblood Rituals - By performing a Dragonblood Ritual on a Mythical Dragon or Dragonlord, the player can gain a small resistance to the Dark Sea’s rain. Considering these creatures have likely dwelled in the Dark Sea for a long time (albeit still being slightly vulnerable to it), their powerful blood would help the player resist the Dark Sea as well.
Darkness Talent - By committing many acts of Blasphemy to gain the favor of Chaos, which fuels magic and is very present in the Dark Sea as a whole, your body has become more accustomed to Chaos and can resist the rain of the Dark Sea a little better than most. This was a suggestion from one of my guild members.
Siren Armor - If their skin resists the Rain of the Dark Sea, why don’t we make off like the sticky-fingered gremlins we are and rip their skin right off? It sounds horrific, but we’ve probably done far worse with whatever armor we’re wearing already. Siren Armor granting some sort of resistance to the Dark Sea’s rain would fit in perfectly with the lore.
…. or y’know just let me make a soap potion so I can drink it all and start sweating Dawn dish detergent.

The way it works as far as I can tell is:
Mythical creatures are resistant to the dark sea for reasons as of yet unknown, but they will eventually succumb no matter how powerful they are.
I do highly believe the “Corruption” is an infection and not a mutation.
Thats why, characters who we have seen corrupted possess clear wounds or has injected on their blood stream the magic from the dark sea; Hallbjorn, who teared off his eyes plus he is considerably wounded; Dragonlord of darkness, who got heavily wounded by another dragon lord; And lastly, our character itself, who gets corrupted after using Infused Daggers.
Another thing from my theory, the infection is the counterpart of the mutation, the corruption gives strenght to the user at cost of their body, while the mutation gives strenght to the user at cost of their sanity.
So if we consider this theory, dragons are indeed resistant to the water poisoning, but they can get infected if wounded, leading to them being corrupted.
To the main topic, would be nice if both Sirens and Dragons could have some new accesories, such cloaks, that protect us at some degree from the rain, Sirens could drop a feathers mantle and dragons a scales mantle.
I personally don’t know how keen I am on the idea of those items, as it already sucks when you have to equip certain items due to environment and lose ststs, and it sucks even more when you have to sacrifice drip because some knucklehead thought the Slots Made To Let You Hide Your Stat Set should definitely give stats
That being said, I do think something could be done with dragon scales, either a jewel effect that could perhaps give resistance to environment effects in general, or something new that would let you apply scales on an item to make it resistant to water poisoning
