I got a short break from my irl stuff, and do you know where do I spend it on? Making a rant about how Acid magic sucks!!!

And not even because of the stats or visuals or because a ganker defeated me with it, in fact, I really love Acid as a magic. But what makes it suck is because IT’S UNDEFINED WHAT ACID DOES IT IMITATE

There’s SO MUCH fucking acids like Hexafluoroantimonic acid, being the strongest superacid currently in the world, Magic Acid, another superacid, Prussic Acid (Or Hydrogen Cyanide), Sulphuric Acid and many other.
In the last topics I discussed about it, we all came to conclusion that it’s close to Sulphuric Acid, and then forgot about it for a looong time.

Well… I did not. Actually I did, but just now i understood that it’s not even sulphuric acid, and that Vetex should go back and learn chemistry!!! (Sorry)

So, what are you even talking about, Void orb?

Well… The water synergy.
Acid has a negative water synergy. And it MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE.
In reality, Sulphuric Acid has a volatile reaction with water, that produces a lot of heat and other byproducts (I don’t think its called like that) - That happens not only with sulphuric acid, but some other ones as well. And that single fact about water having a negative synergy with acid (Both sides actually!) makes me RAGE. Like it makes NO sense, I dont know, add at least some visual and change the synergy or something

Just let in a chemist in your team and that chemist will rework Acid magic for it to be actually good and it would actually make some sense (doesn’t even have to be realistic - it just should be close to one type without being a jack of all trades and a fusion of bullshit)

And if someone even says “Oh its fanmade Acid” “Oh Vetex made a new Acid for this” can officially eat shit and die of death, I NEED ACTUAL ANSWERS!!!

vetex prob thinks that acid is just liquid poison that you can wash off like its less than a clothing stain

yea no thats what i was gonna say, vetex perceives it as a chemical liquid not really any specific acid type

kinda like the deal with metal (unknown alloy) and light (visible light or something??)

There’s ’real life’ variations of metal and wood magic, so why not this?

As someone who used acid magic I’m pretty sure it was hydrofluoric acid

Acid magic is just how people generally see acid it’s not a certain acid it’s closer to the concept of it

Hydrofluoric acid is known to dissolve glass which in this game isn’t the case (Has clash disadvantage against glass)

That’s because they can actually understand the difference between gold and iron while acid is more general as a idea and relies on actual scientific knowledge to know the differences so it’s closer to the idea than individual representatives

What if it’s deoxyribonucleic acid.
I was going to say that the negative synergy with water was because of hydrolysis but I’m pretty sure that isn’t how the hydrogen bonds between stands get broken (I don’t remember exactly it’s been a while), so that joke doesn’t work.
