Ok so according to neviro’s windrow island dialogue, he’ll try his best to make the new ruler of ravenna a better ruler than calvus and his ancestors by explaining the evils of the caesars and calvus’ relation with the order and whatnot
So who do you think it’ll be? I bet that dude from the eternal mines that told us the akursius keep lore definitely survived our escape from the eternal mines. Yes I know, in the cutscene theres a ton of dead prisoners from the eternal mines but he prob got that plot armor n shit. I think he’ll become one of the new king’s emissary (like he was before his arrest) and tell him about the caesar’s family cruelty n shit so the new king won’t be an asshole.
Now for the actual king, I think it’ll be that faustus guy that kidnapped mayor tilly on ch4. Like he’ll hear the news about the death of king calvus and will go back to ravenna to learn what took place during the incident and uhhh he’ll somehow become the new king lmao
It doesn’t matter who wears the crown (if we can find it, it’s a lost crown after all), the real power is in the hands of the Order Dyer. Anyone in the Bronze Sea wanting to have fine vanity has to go through the Dyer, and it’s no coincidence that pirates roam the seas looking for bootleg dyers on those merchant vessels.

I think Revon is probably off on his own in search of power in order to exact their revenge on the player (and I think him going off on his own shows us that no matter how Neviro performs, Revon personally won’t stop his pursuit for revenge), judging by the line of succession then Calvus’ eldest child would take the throne, Lord Ulricus is stated to be Revon’s uncle, so that’d mean a young Calvus was chosen to take the throne over Octavious’ brother. I don’t think the people of Ravenna (outside of Tiberia) would accept a ruler who isn’t a Ceasar, and there’d be no real reason for anyone else to take it from what I can tell
yes, the title would be passed down to his little daughter, but a regent would likely need to serve in her place anyway - and also they’re talking about revolting, which would put her out of power anyway
neviro plans to expose the evil that roots on the caesar family, if he successfully does so, then the people of ravenna will probably choose a different family to rule them
they could just as easily call him a lying cheat. how exactly is he supposed to prove his claims? they live in medieval times, and even though they have magic, it’s mainly used to split people apart, not unite them together. while some would believe him, maybe out of their own reasons to not like the caesar family, it’s not like they would necessarily have to. it’s also not impossible that the caesar family could spread rumors about neviro and his associates to discredit them, too.
in addition, it’s not like the people can directly choose to have a new ruler, there would need to be some sort of violent uprising in order to claim the throne, since whoever sits it will not just give it up so easily. in order to have a chance at an uprising, they’d need to convince the military power of ravenna to switch their allegiances, and that would be hard, especially considering military culture and whatnot
additionally, neviro has no direct tie to the throne, meaning if he became ruler, it would practically be like putting a foreigner in power. that’s not something that would be easy to accept either
i don’t think this arc will be so easily one and done, but who knows.
that’s why i said the dude from the eternal mines might have survived. Vetex would use him to give the citizens of ravenna some sort of proof or something, because there’s no way neviro would be making anything up if an old emissary he has never interacted with agrees with his statements and whatnot. Maybe even the pale woman survived the eternal mines incident and would back them up but this is just pure speculation
I don’t think that will happen as he does say he’ll catch up to us in nimbus later on
I really doubt the family care if Calvus and the previous Caesars are horrible, They will still going to fight Neviro to make the next Caesars as the next king or ruler and keep the old ways in name of tradition, though probably disconnected from the Order, Revon is too blinded rage and idk if we ever met a “good” individual from the family to make them to split
what family gng? the only caesars we know are revon (definitely not at ravenna since he’s probably after a way to avenge his brother), elius and carina (both missing), lord ulricus which is going after that guy whose i forgot the name because he thinks he killed his children and calvus’ kids that are too young to take the throne
i might be going insane but i think vetex is getting rid of every caesar so that it’s easier for him to write a solution to finding a new ruler for the kingdom
Revon should start finding the Heat/flare curse soon. It will help him a lot. Especially when it synergizes with the heat of Ravenna. It’ll help him protect Ravenna too.
Depends how he spins it, though if he exposes Nero’s genocide then the Ceasar family could certainly lose their claim in the eyes of Ravenna’s people. Not sure how people like Julian would respond to it though
