Everyone so far is missing what the comparison is between the two of them, so disappointing, why assume about a game you haven’t known of yet rather than what you do already know?

That’s too simple
no one nvers evers solves the riddle so lalalal
Maybe in AO there’s this group or entity or even the player that will do almost anything to have peace throughout the War Seas no matter if it’s on a scale from a peaceful to an aggressive/violent route? Maybe that’s the whole premise of the story in AO?
stahpp, my brain is already shrinking I don’t need my ego doing the same
Ok, I didn’t read up on Misses Abiola, nor did I check the image file because that’s kinda pointless anyways, and it’s 4am and I’m just thinking about it now.
What came to my mind are the new story based stats, Wisdom, Empathy, and Courage. On the Trello it says they are added, but serve no actual purpose, and I think they are supposed to be indicators of what dialog options you chose, and possibly how you finished some quests, that maybe had multiple ways to be done.
You get the idea, they are pretty intuitive, they track how you are navigating the storyline.
The “riddle” might be just that, showing the two sides, the two very distinct ways you could go about doing your quests.
Both sides surely emanate wisdom, but the left one with the dove clearly is all about empathy, while the eagle on the right could represent courage, the quotes definetely correspond to these two well.
The whole thing could be just that, saying that there’s at least two ways you can go about the storyline, building a better world for everyone through mutual contributions to achieve common goals, or strike quickly and decisively, asseeting your goal with minimal resistance.
But that’s where I go into guessing territory. Maybe the whole system for the stats is explained by the image.
We know that Empathy and Courage are supposed to be opposites, you pick one or the other, but Wisdom is present in both, meaning it is attained separately from the two.
While Empathy and Courage are personal preferences of the player, Wisdom might be a way to score how well they are walking the path they chose.
Judging their actions - were their choices wise? If they chose to be compassionate, did they truly seek to understand the other person and help them overcome what’s worrying them, or did they side with them just because they fit their ideas?
This might indicate that there is a way to nicely represent how someone played the gamme through these stats.
There is the Wisdom axis, indicating how well tought out the players decisions were, and the Empathy to Courage spectrum, showing the way a player accomplished their goals.
Some guesses on what some points on the graph could represent:
I’m gonna be skipping things in the middle, they’re hard to think about without knowledge of the actual story, and might not even be a possibility, so I’m going with extreme examples:
-
The Tactical Braveheart ( High Wisdom, Courage )
- Struck only when necessary
- Planned out their actions well
- Acted upon a code of honour/morals
-
The Freethinking Altruist ( High Wisdom, Empathy )
- Truly understood those who they acted side by side with
- Fought to create a better world for everyone, even those they disagreed with
-
The Impulsive Hero ( Low Wisdom, Courage )
- Fought valiantly, even when it was unnecessary
- They actions were driven by passion and a strong belief in their ideals
- Ultimately meant well
-
The Shortsighted Do-gooder ( Low Wisdom, Empathy )
- Sided with the oppressed, even if only with those they could personally relate to
- Fought for their idea of a better world
- Ultimately strived for the better, even if only from one perspective
Ok, now I sleep, cya.
