The story writing part is pretty cool, the actual roleplay part I don’t care about.
honestly I think its pretty pointless but
its a place where people can put all their stories and shit so its cool I guess
As a broad term calling it roleplay might not be as fitting, mostly because its 100% short stories or series, but I can’t say it’s entirely wrong since clearly I have no alternative titles that come to mind for the category.
It’s a place to put writing which is great. I honestly really like going through there to read what other people are writing, even if the community is more gameplay-focused. I can see the appeal of RP for some people in or out of the game, though and it does at least keep the spot open for those that want the option to organize that. 
I mean, to post, there is a wait much like waiting for the artist role, so that can also slow output of new threads. Plus lol, writing is hard and not a speedy process. I wish I could write a short story in an hour.
tl;dr: Label is misleading, but overall like the category for organizational reasons.
