i might continue but change it up a lot because it’s likely gonna be for 16+ (i ain’t giving full id, just face)

gonna have to do A LOT of lore reworks, which might be the biggest/hardest change

here’s what i currently wanna change:

progression:

  • remove the entire stat levelling system you see in typical superpower simulators
  • change it fucking entirely

lore:

  • change enchantment magic system to be defined/harder
  • make it maybe more modular/elemental?

spawn world’s magic system (raw mana or shit) stays the same.

i was thinking the base elements/modules are portals, temperature, matter, motion, and maybe more i’ll add (if i want to) such as light. you combine them to create abilities and shit, such as an ice magic spear needing the matter, motion, and temperature modules: matter to create the water, temperature to cool it (and surrounding air), and motion to move the water.

Can, AO’s major flaw at the moment - at least in my opinion - is the map being riddled with so many parts and not utilizing StreamingEnabled to dynamically create real LoDs.

Just be aware of your map if you ever build anything close to AO’s size.

The performance of your code doesn’t matter much, it can be bad in its beginning, but it nigh-always requires a re-write when you’ve properly established functionality.

i just realized i’m nearly done with the spell/mana magic and i can hold off on the weapons for now since you’re not really supposed to have any in early game

this means i’d make the map or progression next

can’t believe i have to deslopify this game due to the roblox age verification updates (this game is gonna be 16+, i could give them my depressed chopped face but i ain’t giving my id)

now that i have to deslopify it, i gotta think of what its soul is: maybe about the clashing multiple power systems/worlds?

i wanted the game to have the player explore different worlds, each with their own magic system. the player’s canon starter world has this raw anime energy magic system (similar to dbz ki), enchantment world has enchanting objects, another world could have maybe taming/controlling spirits
