Actually the more I look back at that list, the more I wonder if balance magic is scrapped or not

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was, considering that it’s REALLY gimmicky in function

Come to think it, yeah, that one can go.
It’s a fun little concept, but how doing smacking a criminal make them have less bounty?

Not only that but it doesn’t even really have a tied magic to apply it to, considering its meant to just keep the same color as your base magic

Heck yeah, my boy Wind tied for second most (possible) mutations

I’d give it to shadow.

why not light then too since its supposed to be a balance of stuff?

(I mean not like its coming back anyways, because the more I think about it the more this magic seems like something only usable by leaderboard players tbh)

Now to see no forumer ever complain about this being ‘pure speculation’ and ‘no real info’ like they do for the wiki

I mean it is mostly speculation for the ones that weren’t expressly stated in the Lore Doc or Trello like Fire → Phoenix.

But Wind → Phoenix is more on the speculative side with some merit to being true. With others with not much clear cut info on what family or Lost Magic they can mutate to.

So it’s left to speculation on what Magic makes sense to have as a Lost Magic based on intuition.

anyway give the goats (ice, snow, and water) the other goats (gravity, speed, and atomic), trust me i have reasons for all of them

i think both stock and typ are right, wave could mutate from both shadow and light magic, both the draining connection and wave connection make sense

i somewhat disagree with this though, i think looking at a magic’s properties instead of its connotations is the best way to determine mutations, because while the properties are constant, the connotations can change depending on who you ask; i don’t think shadow has to inherently be evil, it’s just a physical phenomenon that exists, so it can have neutral mutations like wave. i do think associations and connotations surrounding magics can add mutations, but they shouldn’t limit them; the fearful feelings around shadow nets it sacrifice and death magic, but shadow shouldn’t be limited to only those things

i don’t think you understand, ancient magics don’t all have unique individual spells that you have to find, you just need to find a spell scroll like pulsar or javelin or whatever for each slot
