Shadow is a base magic. It’s not a mutation of light, like at all, and it never has been, so what was this even supposed to mean???
I don’t really think you did give examples. We got like, three non-canon things that could be evil, we have no idea.

wdym could be evil, they’re hero npcs and grand navy npcs, they work exclusively to spread good, one of them are literally called heroes. ao mc is most closely interpreted as neutral because of the choice you get in game and what vetex said a while back about the story, so they’re at least an example of a not evil shadow user, and the pk from aa who can also choose shadow magic is definitely good aligned.
“kind sucking” is not evil, and morden is definitely trying to do good in the world what with stopping a war and all that

Okay this is probably a bit conspiratorial but I think I heard somewhere that morden was a shadow user before he got the death curse (either way we all know blud is going to go insane and we’re probably going to have to kill him so who gives a shit)

There are so many variations of the MC that it seems ridiculous to call every single instance of them canon, like, literally, and not to mention the builds that some people can choose technically aren’t canon either.
