That lowkey is true. Every possible instance of a Hecate Shard (which are probably mad rare) seem to just be a fusion though maybe one of the ancient magics isn’t? I mean definitely not the current roster but who knows.
There’s actually a ton that aren’t fusions but a lot of those are basically stronger/modified versions of base magics.

According to the fandom wiki it’s speed is at least 1.25 (light is 1.6) but that could very well be wrong.
I mean I guess it isn’t exactly slow. I was mainly thinking of Calvus’s light spheres but those are kind of slow cuz its big.
