Its not death curse. Tester denied it apparently.
My best guess is it’s most likely apocalypse bringer since they said it was “similar to death” it also has to be an ancient and be coloured teal (meaning it can’t be any magic that we know isn’t just teal). The scale of destruction it caused is further evidence+the immense knockback.

There is a cave below the point exactly parallel to the Cernyx boss arena at Cernunno. There you find an underwater maze and corridor with a few air pockets. If you manage to make it alive, you can the graves of Nero and Octavious Caesar, the first and second kings of Ravenna. From there, it will give you a quest to kill a centurion during Carnevale. If you complete it without dying, you return to the very maze and loot Octavious’ grave and he will give you an item called “Octavious’ Blessing.” It well tell you to get his magic, and he explains in a note how his magic was the death of him and to use it carefully as you can shift the power of the seas with it or whatever. From there you enter the Dark Sea. As soon as you enter, it will teleport you to the title screen again and give you Phoenix Magic along with a build named “Reborn”

Yeah it’s just q big shockwave attack.
It could be shadow curse and maybe the curse is coloured differently from the magic. I guess we’ll have to wait
But then again shadow isn’t an ancient magic
actually the other way around where some of his aether magic attacks are being dyed green from the teal curse
I’ma bet on it being apocalypse bringer and wait and see
