i cant believe nobody’s said this but killing sea monsters without a ship attachment reduces its droprate by an additional 66%, BUT you can just damage a sea monster with your weapons/magic/fstyle and then just finish it off with a ship attachment to get the full drop rate chance without having to wrestle with the janky ship attachments
It was quite funny, people would throw bleeding potions into the sea for him and he would immediately leap in.
