back in AA you’d have almost never seen any exploiters during closed beta bc if people got banned they couldn’t just come back on a new account
iirc vetex tried to add an age minimum sometime after the public release and he got in trouble for it
everybody was either a kid or young teen back then, nobody was dedicated enough to being a loser

not every exploiter who plays the game is going to be that dedicated to the bit. most of them are still just script kiddies, and those are the ones who would be–and were–kept out by AA being paid access. it was not a nail in the coffin for exploiting then, and it wouldn’t be now. that wasn’t the point of what i was saying.
nor was the prospect of an age minimum, actually. the point for both of these was, if nothing else, just make getting around a ban more tedious assuming people who did get banned didn’t have some kind of plan for if they were. which is most people.
If AO suffers the same fate as AA (and to lesser extents, Adventure Story / World of Magic), I can guarantee that script kiddies are going to be a part of why.

i dont have anything against the exploiters who tp around collecting chests and also leave players alone. I still clip them if i get the chance but i dont hate them at the same time. Now exploiting in a way to get innocent people banned or crash the value of an item via duping does grind my gears.

i had a shower thought. like theses exploiters can pretty much do anything at this point. but they did all the uncreative shit. like ban people, change numbers, grant titles, absurd infamy. They can do all that, but they cant add boobs? maybe if they added boobs to ao they’d get some respect
