Vetex receives a large amount of people hating despite the fact AO is genuinely a really good game. So, the AO love thread. Please post things you love about arcane odyssey.

I can see this going two ways: One, this thread gets dunked on and I have to delete this account and make a new one - or two, vetex finally gets some well deserved praise.

I’ll start this off with one thing I absolutely adore about AO- the lore. The entire concept of Prometheus giving humans magic is so cool to me, and the Greek mythology hidden in the game makes me very happy.

I love arcane odyssey for giving me good memories with my clan members

i love AO for the sheer amount of content it has, i only got worn out at like 400 hours
don’t forget about my goats fire mage, techlevel80, and exploration tasks

I like AO because it lets me make a metal weapon have more metal on it, and then shoot our a blast of wind from the metal^2 staff and have that wind have metal on it, only for it to magically explode after reaching a person and dealing half their health

When the iLeg mentor said “Its Iron Legging time”, I devoted all my love to AO and started Iron Legging all over the place with my soul! (literally)

I love arcane odyssey in general.

It’s the closest I’ve ever found to my ideal game.
It has all the characteristics I search in a game:

  • multiplayer gameplay and extensive possibility of interaction with other players
  • character personalization and unique identity
  • gameplay focused on skill and not simple need of levels
  • open world map

If I had to nitpick about something it would be:

  • the lore of magic, the main power system, being exclusively decided by luck and not effort

But they are almost nothing compared to the beauty that is this game.

It’s the first game in the AU series that allows you to not run magic and still reasonably fight.

i like the spirit weapons concept and spirit energy in general (and of course also the mythology and greek gods stuff)

I genuinely love AO as a game with how jam packed it is with exploration and interesting things to explore, A game that really rewards you for your curiosity and makes you wonder “What does this mean?” with the world.

Lots of cosmetic and awesome style by using mostly things from Roblox itself that are retextured, making the game had its charming style rather than just using 1.0 like most Roblox games

and my personal opinion, King Calvus IV. A man I can see as tragic and deep inside ain’t a bad person but at the same time I joked as comical dictator a kin to that WW2 German dictator
