Arcane odyssey Rant

Just play a different game

that’s what I’m doing I’m just disappointed I’m not tryna start a argument.

you started an argument when you put “rant” in the title of your post.

The game was released earlier because players were impatient. Vet promised a release in like 3 different occassions and had to keep delaying the game
He wanted a release to have pretty much everything, like jem crafting and dark sea(?), but was forced to release earlier

He worked on this game for like 2 years straight, dont push him too hard

ye ik but still can’t he have at least a dev team because I’m just getting impatient for updates.

I think vetex has said one of the main reasons he doesn’t have a dev team is because he prefers consistency with everything he makes since a team can have many people with different creative styles it might not live up to his standards. In addition to this the game needs to be on a group for a dev team to work efficiently, and it’s much too late for ao to move to a group since it has countless assets under Vetex’s account. The amount of robux he’d lose to pay a dev team is also inconvenient since roblox takes like 30% whenever you transfer robux

Also it isn’t really a Developer duo, Vetex is the one who codes everything, techlevel80 does lore stuff mostly and did 4 underwater structures , and everything else done by other people is usually structures or modeling

Super predictable answer but it’s a popular response for a reason:

plus the last thing AO need is more unfleshed gameplay aspects

how many years now has ar been on 3rd sea

anyway i agree that ao is pretty dry, everyone knows the game lacks replayability but i dont have an issue waiting a month and a half for an update most games off roblox take way longer

Next time rant about island sized in-combating
Cuz I don’t wanna leave accidentally

The island sizes idc they’re all good sizes tbh but I really want more islands.

Um… Bounty hunting now puts you in combat when the player is merely near you. And it’s island sized
Is what I meant

Oh alr

I dont see the problem, 1 month is actually a decent time gap imo, I swear there are games where it takes even longer than one month. Seeing the scale of the AO, 1 month is actually a really decent time-gap.

Vetex basically had no choice but to release the game as early access. The game was in development for almost 3 years, and with his main income being from his games, he basically had to release this as an early access at some point. Both for the players and himself.

Ha… hahaha… thats cute, you think this game only has 2 years till finished? You’re dreaming, you’re 3 years short, itll actually take 5 minimum. You’ll understand why when you look at the plans.

That’s on you bro, not the game. :skull:

Also, terrible timing with this post, as Vetex just so happened to announce he’ll be releasing the next update a week from now

The problem is there’s no replay ability.

And Vetex acknowledges that. He knows there’s no replayability and most are just waiting for the next update, which is why player numbers are low. Then again, can you really think up an option to fix this? Another update? But it takes about a month to do so. So only option here is to be patient. Play other games or touch grass. If you can’t wait, then that’s on you, not the game

2 months since last update dude it’s a bit weird most games take 1 month to update.

Ohhh, right, got the time-gap wrong oops

Hmm, when you think about it though, Vetex is literally THE ONLY DEV working on the game, while there’s a lot of games out there that actually has a whole team behind it. Yes there’s contributers that do help Vetex, but they only build some models while there is only one person doing all the coding. AO is a BIG game for a solo dev. It took him almost a whooping 3 years to remake the whole game.

“Why cant Vetex hire a team then?”

god dude the mods having the time of there life’s with money.
