I just hope Glass gets something else to make it more than just a worse wood and make it a bit more unique than just being the magic people get as a 2nd magic just for the bleed synergy…
Attack Size already increases the Size of hazards.
Intensity will be for damage, Attack Size for size
Ah alr, I’d assumed hazzard size had been completely moved over to intensity so thx for the clarification
i’m just waiting for impact fist to come out so i can make a juggernaut slot solely for it
Anyway, on the topic of ice conjurers…
Does this mean what I think it means? Can I have an ice-imbued Mirrored River or something do boosted damage after hitting a non-imbued move now? I sort of get why not (that, and I can just use a normal magic blast or explosion or something), but if I could, that would be sick. It’s also what I thought I would be able to do when I started making it.
Warlock player here. Very happy wind is getting some love. Always thought it weird almost every elemental reaction it has just leads to -10% damage nerfs.
My only other complain besides mages being so God damned overpowered right now is the serious lack of damage that fighting styles and berserkers are currently dealing with. I really think it wouldn’t hurt to give them even better damage modifiers than magic spells, since most of their skills involve getting close to their opponent. Especially crash tbh. Crash shouldn’t do worse damage than a magic blast, because you are compromising your position and leaving yourself open to attacks, even with the damage resistance.
A rushdown character needs to be an actual rushdown, give them a reason to keep getting close to their opponents, and give their opponents a reason to not get too close to them. Crash being equal to the magic blast or even stronger would feel right, I think. Could be a berserker only awakening buff. They really need rewarding options right now.
Also, I’m not sure what’s wrong with fighting style command grabs, but they barely land on NPCs, sometimes they are pinpoint hitscan accuracy when you do them on players, but sometimes it just doesn’t work at all. Is there a reason why it isn’t like snare or the old AA command grabs?
Also, sweet/sourspots, dash staling, and the placed explosions rework all sound great.
As someone who mains guns, no. This is a pointless change.
if you’re going to buff blocking and make it viable compared to shields, give it a visible aura so it doesn’t look like you’re just tanking shots to the forearms
Dash staling sounds dumb for pve, keep it pvp only imo
Why doesn’t your fighting style spawn the hazards of the magic you imbue it with? Crash should spawn Magma if you imbue it with Magma
Is it confirmed that we’re gonna be able to change out magic in the future?
Also does this include first, second and third?
I think it helps with consistency. Idk if you’ve had any of these moments but we’ve always had moments while testing where you would shoot someone and the bullet would visibly pierce them and do no damage. Even if the player is not moving at all. Would work on both ends too so it’s not just a client-sided thing.
You could argue that the bullet hitbox change that was suggested would fix that, but I don’t think that changing how Multishot works would hurt, especially if the bullet hitboxes are still wack after that.
I’d be open to making it PvP only but currently I think it should be standardized. Reduces the amount of dash spam and if you’re hitting your shots it shouldn’t even impact you that much.
If someone convinces me that it’ll be annoying though, I could change it so that it’s PvP or even Bounty-hunting only.
The pain of having to just walk and not dash and trimp on something randomly
As said on the doc the feature would probably be in-combat only.
As long as you’re actually fighting back, you shouldn’t be staling to the point that you feel the pain of “having to walk and not dash,” because as I put in the doc, fighting back would reduce how much you’re staling.
Unless the numbers I put on the doc aren’t adequate. In that case it’s a numbers issue, not an issue with the mechanic as a whole.
Oh yea im all down for the combat change but because its vetex, i fear for the worst
what are the chances of any of this stuff makes it to the live version of the game?
