Damage in general is pretty overinflated (for mages atleast) where anything close to 10-15% would be easily reached by magics that already apply it. Although, 33% is enough for something like Earth to practically only apply it on ultimate arts and full charged spells which could be a way to balance the other bleed magics, but still, DoTs are unjustified amounts of a ton of free damage for no reason.
Synergies are incredibly powerful. The ability of having a 2nd magic pretty much means that it has exclusive access to most synergies, when compared to other builds (at least for now).
Even when the 2nd awakening arrives, mages will have 3 magics, meaning even more damage, thanks to synergies.
also if conjurer size boost is being removed, then weapons in general should all have their aoes scaled up, as halving the effectiveness of size scaling means most conjurerâs magic wont do anything, size wise. or just let conjurer stay as it is, but fix the status bugs
im saying for half the people in this game that dont read the wiki or anything, and havent really considered synergies until after choosing their 2nd magic and maybe trying to see what the pvp is like (roblox is roblox after all)
shadow already has a effect on tyles making black dots that lookâs like smoke coming from the affected tyle
if they go from lvl 1 to 119 without looking up any info, theyâre more likely a savant than mage.
A stat reset is planned in .16
Messing up your build is honestly a risk most players need to deal with in most rpg games.
Also, with the amount of synergies there are, itâs really hard to COMPLETELY ruin your file (especially since there is NO negative interaction between your own magics, so you wonât ânerfâ yourself by choosing two opposite magics).
Even if someone chooses two magics that do not synergize, they still are useful by making use of status effects, area denial effects such as puddles or clouds & etc.
The difference between someone who read the wiki/trello and asked around the forum/discord and someone who didnât wouldnât be enough to make the game unplayable. It would only mean that their build isnât 100% optimized.
that only goes out to existing files, and its just one reset right not the actual potion
im saying for the purposes of the awakening. and there are all sorts of magics that also hurt each other, even though it might not seem like they do given the attempt to be realistic in the game.
I am pretty sure negative interactions donât affect your own magic.
If you have shadow and light magic, this doesnât mean they will have a negative synergy with one another. Both of them will just deal their full, normal damage instead of nerfing each other.
Iâve heard that negative interactions only affect if youâre with another player and not your own 2 magics. Someone else can confirm
weapons are going to be really strong, even more than they already are, with the tweaks that are being made in this update. a size buff to everything would be overkill, the AoEs of most non-gun skills are quite good at this point even without an awakening, i leveled a warlord up to max and weapons carried the build.
negative damage self-interactions were removed.
so then what was the point of awakening in this case
Considering that
I hope that sailor + argos set will be quite good
a mage can just stand back and fire faster projectiles with bigger aoe than something like a conjurer. and then just keep dodging backwards
A second magic? more skills with different cooldowns, different elements dealing different status effects
Isnât that enough even without a free 10% dmg buff?
Just take a look at conjurers. Right now, unless youâre using a few, very specific elements, imbuement is next to useless.
Example? A glass conjurer is literally better just by not using his imbuement.
conjurers get magic spells too, and thereâs near-instant/instant weapon skills like flash strike and mirrored river (or whatever itâs called). Plus your dodges get temporarily weakened if you spam them.
im saying in this specific example, you get the status effects of blinding and blinding, and the skills cooldowns are still half, most people wont even use them fast enough to take advantage of this.
