my shitty mic makes me sound really autistic whenever i record

It’s difficult to describe but when I’m talking normally it sounds like I’m not putting very much effort into talking. Almost as if my voice sounds somewhat “low energy” It’s not something I’m particularly self conscious about though

Eeehhh yknow as an autistic person myself I find that a bit on the offensive side. Also it’s a spectrum and all autistic people sound different.
If you mean you sound dumb, please don’t compare autism and people on the spectrum to stupidness. Autistic people can be very smart.
I can confirm as someone who has had to hear him talk in a vc that what he is trying to say is that he sounds like he’s dumb. I don’t know why he correlates that to autism but I guess banana is just weird like that.

I genuinely don’t get why people correlate this sort of stuff ever, and tbh don’t get why people have to say stuff like “autistic people can be very smart” (except, thinking about some people on the internet, I understand completely why it has to be said). Autistic people, and for that matter, any sort of label, like gay, trans, neurodivergent, religious, etc are just people. Therefore, to say “some autistic people can be smart” to me is to just say “some people can be smart.”
I honestly get annoyed at how I sometimes see, in random bits of media, characters/people being treated rather differently purely because of one trait that they have. Cool, a character who is a boy happens to like boys. Is that supposed to make them different or imply some sort of association to them? Alright, so this person is autistic, I don’t see what that really is supposed to tell me other than they happen to just be autistic. Why is it trying to imply so many things about them because of this?
Sorry if I may be getting personal with this rant, it’s targeted at nobody and has been randomly brought upon by nothing. I’m just tired of random individual traits of a person being spun into some major thing when it’s just a part (and nothing more) of someone, with no other meaning attached to it other than what it specifically means.
Someone who is autistic is autistic, and that’s all it means: they think a little differently. That’s all. It defines or implies nothing more about someone, such as intelligence or appearance or voice or anything, except that they are autistic.
Sorry for this rant on a fully unrelated subject, you’re doing fine.
Let’s get back to the actual topic.
My voice has been kind of hit or miss for me but I’ve been trying to speak more softly, and when I remember to, I like the result.
