course it depends on how and when you use them though

it was the first thing that popped into my mind when i tried to imagine someone using male and female instead of guy or girl, like “why do so many males at my school yaddayaddayadda…”
Don’t worry I only use them when specifying gender is important, especially when the group of animals(which includes humans) I’m talking about consist of both children and adults.
Now this has really got me thinking. Would you be offended if I referred to you as a human? On one hand, it’s a scientific and clinical term… but on the other hand, I’m explicitly clarifying that you are a human. I feel so much giddy curiosity towards this stupid question.
it would ironically still be dehumanizing, as the way that people usually refer to humans is by name, rather than the name of the entity’s species.
“Human” refers to any human, their name refers to them specifically

no, i would just find it strange. every person you speak to is a human so it’s not really an alienating aspect. referring to women with the word females though makes it sound like you’re talking about a separate species (since you typically only use female and male casually when talking about animals) and boils them down to just their body instead of the person they are
because it really is not that deep, if you’re speaking generally you can use women or girls just fine, or even ladies
The words “woman”, “man”, “lady”, “boy” and “girl” do that too.

dunno, but gender is related to society and stuff and you can see how it differs across cultures, so it certainly has one

If you don’t have access to a gym currently, you can still start anytime. Just do a combination of bodyweight with some cardio and you will see some improvement. Something is always better than nothing.
