By my understanding, it was common verbiage in the era. Though, most of the other speech in the game follows modern conventions, so it’s a bit inconsistent.

this is quite common in British English at least just as a sort of colloquial term. I think I also noticed some other words I’d see as quite ‘British’ in skyhall’s story as well
Vetex way of writing barely had any personality to it’s character where at this point I have no idea if it’s a mistake or an artistic writing choice to emulate speech
Because most of the writing in the game are the same formal English for most of the characters we met
