PvE is a pure ranged projectile spam lol, the balancings of pvp barely affect it, every single pve balcning issue has tried to been addressed but vetoed by vetex
Ah my bad let me clarify, I meant it as in whether majority can benefit from the change and has to make sense. The pvp toggle for a recent example, it satisfies majority of the playerbase and it makes sense so that both communities can enjoy the -game.
Though it was kind of sad that some of the pve side got vetoed but I can understand as to why since some of the proposed changes seem to be too overpowered or unnecessary. From the looks of it, only the potion changes were added.

Which is not a balancing decision AT ALL, I don’t think you understand that balancing is mainly adjusting stats and combat mechanics, rarely anything else.
Uhhhh I think you’re mainly just talking about pvp balancing rather than balancing in general.
Well, there is balancing the combat experience, and balancing stuff like progression, ships, item drops, ect, which are not entirely pvp related.
Pvp toggle is a change to adjust open-world pvp.
While not balancing in the traditional sense, it does try to fix a problem many complain about. (I typically don’t think of pvp toggle as a balance change (more of a mechanic rework), but I can see the argument for it being a balance change.)
I do agree that in most contexts, combat balancing is typically what people mean by balancing though.
And the balance team only does PvP balancing lol, they do try to push some buffs to PvE drop rates sometimes but it’s not their job
I mean if that’s the case we need people curating the pve experience.
Get on that fellas. (Of course, most of the time any changes would then favor veteran players than new players but whatever.)
(Like seriously, new player experience is really important. At the same time, catering to only one side of a playerbase is often bad (hmmmm…) but since new content is typically accessible to the veterans first (they got the levels and equipment) I think it’s fair if new player experience got some tuning.)
