In the trello for arcane odyssey in the ancient magic section the description of equinox has â Equinox Magic - A perfect balance of light and darkness, which releases extraordinary power and damage due to its imbalance.â key word balance. It is not a mix like aether lighting, I wouldnât have made this if it were. Since it is a balance, it would have an equal amount of light and darkness.
The Trello description is pretty much just notes to describe the magic and make it look cool. Simply balancing Light and Shadow cannot summon Equinox. Thatâs just not how it works. It can cause the violent reaction that Equinox manipulates, but is not Equinox magic. You would need the EQUINOX curse to manipulate EQUINOX magic. If you had the Shadow and Light curses, you would be able to manipulate Shadow and Light respectively. And, as aforementioned, you may be able to cause the Equinox reaction, but you cannot manipulate Equinox magic using Shadow and Light.
If this doesnât explain it, I donât know what will.

Rare mutations, such as Theosâ red Phoenix mutation, pretty much make it so that thereâs always more mutations waiting to be discovered. They may just require extremely specific circumstances to be achieved.
In all honesty, I doubt that this magic will even make it into the game.
Itâll probably suffer the same fate as genesis zero and just sorta vanish without another word.
Why? Simple, it makes literally no sense for the game and everyone would hate it.
Also equinox is the combination of light and shadow magic. You can merge two things and have a perfect balance of them while also not being able to separate them.
Lets say I had two equally sized vat of molten copper and tin and I poured them into the same vat to create a perfect balance of the two metals, donât get me wrong, it would make some absolute shit bronze because thatâs way too much tin in the mixture, but it would be a perfect balance and thereâs no way youâre going to split them apart.
