My friend actually did something like this. Basically, equip the Knight Card, the Ante Up Card, and the Power Stab Card. You’ll ignore Defense due to sword attacks having that property, and you’ll deal a LOT of damage with Power Stabs, especially with the first strike damage bonus.

The main downsides will be losing out on your ball attacks (and thus your ability to inflict status effects), and you won’t be able to target backline enemies with anything besides Sword Toss. Also, Ante Up makes the game harder, as action commands become more strict, and you deal no damage on a missed command.

You can also use the Apple Pie item for a temporary damage boost.

Also guys, here’s an interesting detail: your character’s battle animation changes based on your menu flavor. Straight up, you can get different animations in battle. That’s how detail-heavy this game is.
