life is too short to not put your current fave ocs (from original setting) into ao setting
behold, questionable yuri in assassin syndicate.
- architect laguardia (valerius) and assassin alessi (cielo). the names in brackets are basically their first names and what iâm more used with
- my vague lore idea i have for them is ciel obtaining some sort of cracked magic (like apocalypse bringer, which works with her character and gives val enough motivation to have her)
- due to her magic, val pretty much pulls the strings and stuff to get ciel to work under her for her benefit. yahoo
- while cielo is the fighter and the main one getting her hands dirty, val is the type to sit behind and do the background work (like commanding her assassins or arranging stuff with kingdom contracts)

yo i legit need questions/suggestions to help me flesh out my new character concept betterâŚ
hereâs rita faulkner. a mercenary whoâs been infiltrating kingdoms and tracking down the orderâs activity
for background context about her character concept...
- remember ben? that guy who i draw with morden? guy whoâs basically my ao main file? yeah sheâs his long lost twin from the backstory
- both benâs and ritaâs backstory are basically:
- theyâre a pair of twins, both of them are the legacies of the god⢠(basically same situation as ao player, but make it twins). rita was supposedly the family heir, so ben was more of the backup option (who eventually decided his life purpose was to protect rita at all costs)
- then their family members are hunted down by other kingdoms for their powers and stuff
- the order came after their family next. however, they also made an offer to take the heir in exchange for their family protection. (the order basically just went âyea i want the strongest one in your familyâ)
- ben decided to join the order in her place instead, while telling rita and the rest of the family to go in hiding
- ben eventually later received the news that his family got wiped and heâs now stuck with the order. so he pretty much lost his lifeâs purpose. however he befriended morden and tucker and they escaped together. so ben doesnât remember those entire events that went down and started fucking around in the war seas, then the rest is basically ao story (but gayer for morden)
- on ritaâs side, however. after ben left for the order, she went in hiding with her family. however, her family members were protecting her + got hunted down to the point rita was the only survivor running free. note that rita doesnât get memory loss, so she does remember this⌠entire thing
- after losing her entire family, she had to pick up mercenary work for survival and took on a new identity as ritaâ˘. outside of killing and stuff, sheâs also sent to spy on kingdoms and all for money
- after getting enough money, she eventually started traveling alone on her ship and became this kingdom-unaffiliated figure who made a living by both intel and mercenary work.
- tbh idk if the whole legacy deal is exclusive to ao player, but i imagine she could also hear voices from poseidon and find him too. she could reunite with ben at mount othrys
- i havenât decided on her magic/weapons/etc. but i imagine sheâs a savant. she wants to get good at everything because she HAS to.
- âwhatâs her character likeâ
- pretty cold. emotionally constipated. pretty action/goal-focused kinda person.
- sees most interactions as transactional. if it doesnât serve her mission or bring benefit in one way or another, sheâd be less likely to engage in it.
- hasnât had a day of comfort in her life (hyperbole)
- people often see her as the type to throw herself in danger (sheâs also calculating enough to know when to throw herself, except she does nearly get herself killed several times from that. âthe risk is worth itâ ass)
- âi have to do this.â the person
- her childhood self was way more cowardly and emotional, so her current personality is basically her making up for her past mistakes
- still has enough goofiness in her
since sheâs written by me. dark humor type person
- âwhatâs her goal anyways?â
- sheâs currently pursuing the order of aesir. still in the process of trying to infiltrate/learning more about them so she can both fuck them over and find more clues about ben. once sheâs done with the order, i imagine sheâd continue to pursue other kingdoms/organizations seeking to expand influence throughout the war seas (or maybe she goes for the âdestroy all cursesâ route with ben or whoever is the peacekeeper, since itâd do a net positive to the politics anyways)
- âwait so how would she interact with benâ
- while ben is the captain⢠leading his own little crew, rita mostly travels solo and works with her personal connections (who are mostly fellow mercenaries, spies, or other figures like that)
- if she gets an admirer/follower/etc, she just throws them at benâs crew and tells him to take care of them
- if i have to work her into in-game story, i imagine sheâd be the one giving out intels and stuff to ben. she disappears every now and then but sheâll return with info about the order or whatever kingdoms ben is dealing with
- âhowâd she interact with storyline npcsâ
- morden: oh she would hate his ass (bc he reminds her of her worst parts). very mixed feelings. her crashouts on morden would be more of âYOU HAVE A WHOLE CURSE AND YOUâRE STILL SCARED OF IT??? PEOPLE ARE DYINGâ
- ^ rita has been through âiâve been through a dangerous situation and i should be powerful enough for to protect my loved ones but i failed them because iâm scared of my powersâ arc once and has been beating herself about it since then, so when she sees morden going through similar shit, sheâs super aggressive at morden about it
- iris: while rita shakes morden about his thingsâ˘, sheâs much softer and nicer around iris. (sheâs significantly nicer towards her bc iris does keep working towards her goals/missions). however she does think iris is too emotional for her own good
- neviro: handshakes. we are in this shit together.
- edward: benâs quartermaster guy. maybe she can ask him about the navy
- enizor: âplease tell me more about what youâre researching.â
- warren: tbh warren COULD be one of the people she works with. this could significantly affect his interactions with ben too.
- callahan: not much thoughts on him. heâs some dude to her.
- esmeralda: âtell me more about skyhallâŚâ
- if i have to write more interactions i might need to find a way to keep track of story changes with her existence.

with edward kenton, i imagine the navy keeps logs of deliveries in various areas so she could track down areas that the order of ĂŚsir are especially prominent in using shipment logs
callahan would prob remind rita of her brother, due to them both being very willing to do random shit

but yeah she def sounds like sheâd find uses for that info
wait yeah the ideas with callahan could work⌠(since both canonically fistbumped in the story + i imagine ben and callahan being like brosâ˘)⌠maybe callahan could give her insights on the juraserva too

yeah the juraserva is def interesting to look into, maybe information from esmeralda could also help rita find other legacies (assuming skyhall has other legacies due to allanon existing with a spirit mutation, but aside from that no ideas)

tbh at least thatâs her goal (bc im not sure what kind of side effects to give if i want to make her go all the way to savant route). for now i imagine sheâs worked on her magic and fighting style the most
