I probably spent 35% of my time in this game fishing and 60% of it exploring, but PVP and comp is fun for many people.

They have a ton of members constantly gaining infamy both passively and actively. It’ll probably be slower if vetex reworks infamy gain somehow to make it less passive/quantity over quality

I hope infamy gain from islands is nerfed.
On the trello, it said that infamy gain per 5 minutes from islands was like 2-4 before, i dunno why its 10x that now

Everything was increased by 10x (including requirements for clan tiers) to give more flexibility to the numbers

so its actually 10 million not 100 million for legendary clan

Wait, but we get 10 infamy every sealed chest turn in.
Would that mean that in the testing phase, Sealed Chests only gave 1 infamy per?

CC doesnt have any infamy requirement, just be ‘active’ (play like atleast once a week) and have said theyre happy with second

I guess when the system promotes keeping islands without any competition it doesn’t really matter if all your players are shit

This is why I tried to champion PVE Infamy back in the WOM days. My guild is for people who want to have fun not limited to people who only want to mindlessly grind infamy day in and day out. I never set up requirements of skill, infamy or contribution and still struggled to attract any members.

It’s likely there are a class of players, a lot of them in fact, who find competitiveness the only attractive quality of a guild.

PVE is still abusable, hence why Vetex won’t implement it.

Gilded Dragons. Not very big, mostly invite people by just word of mouth or ‘hey can I join’. Haven’t even set up the discord yet because I’m working on a big fancy project to attract people since smaller guilds always have trouble catching peoples eyes. Wasn’t trying to self-promote though.

Anyway there are PVE options, you get infamy for turning in sealed chests and infamy from claimed islands, neither of which require fighting people.

In my humble opinion though Vetex needs to turn down the infamy earned. He multipled the requirements by 10 in some cases, so if the infamy gained per claimed island were at like a 2-5 range instead of 20-50, that would make it take far longer to get legendary clans.
