i think you’re reaching here
No.
I’m not.
It doesn’t matter what color you trade for, just go dye it.
Anybody who has spent any time grinding in this game most likely has some variation of every single cosmetic item in the game.
and you aren’t?
i never said the color mattered? it was the premise of the item itself being readily available
the average player with more then 100 hours has like 25 of every item even if they are diffrent colors
assuming they aren’t like me and convert their inventory to galeons on a regular basis >:)
I’m staggered.
I can’t fucking believe you actually think there’s a single cosmetic that can be sold by merchants that isn’t readily available everywhere.
Are you an idiot? I’m starting to get that impression.
using my merchant deckhand in only two days of this update being out, i have:
- made 12k galleons off items i purchased and immediately traded off
- bought 10x of two items specific to my other deckhands to max their loyalty
- stocked the hell up on uncommon catalysts which i struggled finding prior
- got some cool gloves which i could have found elsewhere but they weren’t currently in rotation at ravenna stores, extremely convenient to me as niche of a case as it might be
i feel that my merchant has definitely served their usefulness and purpose so far, easy to upgrade and i dont consider them much of an opportunity cost as the other deckhand professions don’t interest me much
they aren’t always readily available you really don’t seem to get how limited tailors and such are
armorers always have iron armor in bulk which is great but tailors rarely have the things you’re looking for
Even then. Did you forget that chests exist in the game and that you only ever have to find these items ONCE and that they’re ALL common/uncommon tier.
You’re delusional as shit.
and within one day of the update I was net neutral in galeons after…
getting 5 deckhands to max loyalty
getting 2 deckhands to rare, 2 to exotic (3 started uncommon)
dont need any uncommon catalys because… I allready maxed my brewing
in my case they always had atleast 1 item I could trade for loyalty usually 2 items (two of my deckhands were the “merchant” style)
chests are bloated with an insane lootpool, merchants allow me to outright pick and choose the items i want (if they’re being sold) and again i can get them in bulk if i need
Anyways good job killing any and all useful discussion this suggestion had any potential to start.
so instead of rolling against the entire lootpool for 3 items constantly
your wanna reroll 8 common/uncommon items everytime you join a server?
5?
no legendaries?
of course you still need catalysts at max brewing… you’re still making potions to use?
5?
I had a deckhand I got to max loyalty. didn’t like cannoneer so i got another
no legendaries?
too many gems (which Is why I wish merchants could sell up to rare)
the innane number of clams in my pocket: (also I mainly brew low-time revealing potions)
i do not think im to blame for this if that’s what you think has happened LOL. i pointed out that you undervalue cannoneers, that the alchemist role was a taken title, and that i didn’t agree with the merchant overhaul. nothing was intended in an argumentative manner, i only gave my criticisms. still not sure where cannoneer not being top 2 comes from…
everything you said was a argument. dont give me that
i also wish they’d sell up to rare, but vetex deemed that far too strong (let’s be honest here, it was)
ah yes I would love to give up the ability to fire my cannons instantly
for a few common/uncommon items that are not even guarentted to be what I want
