I think it’s because it kinda takes away from those who have actually been oppressed in the past, there’s no need to uplift ourselves because we don’t get shit for being straight
it’s not necessarily bad, but it drowns out the lgbtq+ community
for example have you seen how badly oppressed they are?
by giving pride to a group of people who genuinely don’t need it to make them feel better about not actually being oppressed it just makes everything people who are lgbtq+ come off as less important (i hope this explanation made sense)
