I think AO has⌠ALOT of problems.

The PvP combat is jank and I donât like it but I can see why it appeals to people.
The PvE is enjoyable but the bosses can be very hit or miss.
The worldbuilding is nice and people give the story too much flack, like it isnât the best thing Iâve ever read but calling it horrible terrible garbage not worth reading is a massive exaggeration.
The game design is baffling at times, like with certain potion reagents, namely healing, being borderline unobtainable in a sustainable amount without being in a clan.
Or a T1 drinkable love potion undoing the effects of literally any tier love gel instantly, invalidating the potionâs entire reason to exist.
Or invisibility potions, regardless of tier, not working on the only enemies you have any real reason to use invisibility against.
Or, I state again, hecate essence being the way it is.
The game is not optimized well at all and given that my computer runs just about anything that isnât AO fine, I canât just pretend that its all roblox issues.
The grind is perfectly reasonable except for when it isnât. (sunkens, luck reagents, acrimonies, and blasted modifiers all come to mind)
I like AO, but it has a long way to go before I start recommending it to people that I didnât meet in WoM or AA.

anime filler is a bitch and the pacing sucks ass, thankfully theyâre reanimating one of the worst sagas in the show (fishman island) to actually be somewhat decent now with better pacing and animation

like what is it filling???
the story goes on as normal without it, its still fully animated and voice acted so its not giving the people making it a break, and its new from the source material so they also have to write more.
isnât it⌠MORE work than just continuing with the original plan for the story???

Itâs either fan services, flashbacks or stalling for the author to work on the original. Oftentimes, filler episodes are made by the studio at the authorâs approval, not necessarily written by the author themselves.

filler is done when the anime is actually caught up with the manga or about to catch up so they come up with filler episodes so that they donât get ahead of the manga and donât have to actually write the story themselves. itâs only actually necessary when the manga is still actually running while theyre making the anime, but if the show is being made AFTER the manga then filler isnât actually needed unless the producers want to milk the IP
where else should someone whoâs spent a decent amount of time on the game express his review or opinion. should he yap about this to people who donât play AO and wonât understand or is there some AO hate forums under constructions.
