After Mei left, Caroline was taken by a member of the Assassin syndicate. This member raised her in Whitesubmmit, acting as her guardian, altho they’re somewhat distant cuz of their role as a syndicate member. She lives a life just trying to hide from the authorities.
She hasn’t come out of hiding for almost a decade until she caught wind of Mei’s whereabouts.
