i dont mean to sound like im on too much copium but its possible this new team of devs could save the game
as in fix the crappy update schedule and maybe change some of the things that people dont like since they are kinda in charge now
I personally find Beast Defense more egregious than dirt/tanning nowadays. The idea of totally ruining your characters outfit being a necesity to fight specfic enemies is absurd.
This games an rpg, for some people accessorising and customizing their character is a major feature, but oop, wanna fight dragons/kraken? Better wear a big clunky, ugly knight set so they don’t two shot you (they will instead four shot you)
I assume you’re not a fan how armor durability also practically necessitates using ugly vanity?
We can hope, but they’re vetex’s friends under his supervision… It depends not just on how much they’ll be able to change, but how much they’ll be willing and allowed to change, too

It doesn’t feel very immersive if i have 3 times the health of some animal, and suddenly that boar is able to deal damage that is higher than it’s own health while very nearly stunlocking me

Do you know why Lovecraft is so good? Cuz of book format.
For books, you dont have to be super detailed unless you want to, as human brain will do all the filling for you. Lovecraft knew it, and so he didnt describe ancient gods too much, he let human brain do all the work per each person to imagine the most horrifying.
Or House of Leaves? Netflix adaptation litteraly died because they couldnt find a way to adapt the story.
What about games? Undertale, Spec Ops: The Line, Deltarune, NieR: Automata. First three are games whose whole plot is subversion of normalicy, how can you tell the story of the undertale (ooh ooooh ooooh) in say a series format? While NieR series loves to tell its stories through endings.
Or homestuck? Yeah, goodluck.
You can make stories work in all mediums, but you cant use an excuse of ‘its hard to tell story through game’ because the story that you want to say is probably tailored to the book medium, not for game medium.
Mhm. I’m no dev but I swear it is so easy to figure out whats wrong with your game with community feedback and yet 99% of roblox devs cant even make that first step. I genuinely can’t understand this.
sand footsteps and water details are fine no one is complaining about those cuz they are what are actually nice little details, not armor break. It doesn’t add anything to the game and doesn’t fit the genre. If it was a survival game that has a core mechanic of managing your resources during fights and trying not to draw out battles then sure go ahead (though remove the annoying parts of it) but this is literally magic wizard pirate game.
Speaking of the 99% of Roblox devs, comparing Vetex’s departure with theirs is night and day - we all know how a Roblox game’s lead dev’s retirement is usually caused… The man has done well, prob top 1%. if emotional breakdown was his biggest concern, that is an immense and respectable accomplishment.
That I can totally agree on since the game is more likely to be in the right hands.

Hey, he didn’t make his game worse intentionally for his own gain, nor he abused his admin powers and/or privileges in the game, outside of a few recorded cases of him nuking Ravenna or something.
