Yeah (imma use Elden ring mainly since it’s the one I know best out of all the souls and the one vetex clearly uses most). You can wander in Elden ring but I feel like I always run into something but in ao i typically follow a loose set of islands because if I go to like shell’s too early I’d be to low lvl to do any content there so until you’re max lvl the open world feels, fake? As you still gotta progress pretty linearly. AO I know added a tutorial but I never made an alt to try it but I have heard literally nothing about it so I question how well it does it unlike Elden ring which tutorial gets you the general mechanics really well and informs you of mechanics when you get them better unlike how AO currently does so. Even deep has a tutorial for basic mechanics (though not its more advance ones so it still very much needs the wiki open like AO) the guide book is seemingly a good direction but like. I know I personally never read that thing I dunno how many new people do
that may actually kill AO
I wonder why people hype up lost magic so much, not that I don’t, just curious.
Not that I don’t think that lost and ancient magic are cool.
Though I don’t believe they are simply flat objectively better versions. From how I recall vetex talking about em they are upgrades but typically in certain aspects
Because we’ve been shown yet denied from them since AA
Kind of like side grades as opposed to straight upgrades.
I see.
Yeah. Like flare is seemingly fire but with a better dot for example. Aether is light but bigger and a different status (and maybe a bit slower?)
The life beneath the ocean is a nice little qol not something that excites people or keeps them playing.
Well shame that the game released with pvp ingrained in it lmfao, it only backs up my point potions should’ve come after FR or the next update with ranked arena.
Log into any server you’ll be lucky if you can even see 1 claimed island
Ever day the combat split sounds better and better
A very uninteresting and cheap way to fix the issue but better than the half measures we’ve been getting
I would argue it’s more than a cheap way and for that I’d use the easiest example, deepwoken. Deepwoken like Ao has PvP and pve aspects built in. Though in both PvP and pve require differences to balance properly so deep went about this by dividing combat tags. PvP and pve tags. This let the game fully balance the two separately so PvP doesn’t effect pve snd vise versa. AO doesn’t do this and just hopes the two balance eachother more so PvP balances pve and makes both worse
i dont think you need to worry abt vetex finishing it im more worried abt roblox fucking things up again
look at the bright side
deepwoken is older than ao, yet ao has basically progressed more than deepwoken, since deep hasn’t really moved ever since verse 2 dropped
we’re getting our 2nd awk at nimbus and lost magics at mid vimir
build diversity is what mainly hypes me up for them, probably hypes most of us actually
everyone using smth different is obviously neat and we’re already tired of the base magics we’ve had for three years by now (a decade if you count AA and WoM). It also gives us the feeling that we are progressing and getting stronger, it’s not just ‘‘water vs glowing water’’ to us, if you havent noticed it by now
they’re also far different from what we call ‘base magics’, like we have phoenix that has healing properties n shit or gravity that’s just cooler wind (i forgot what it does), aether lightning’s really sick too, like hell bro we obviously want them
Mid vimir?
yes, vetex said that somewhere and i wont search it up… just trust me on this one because i’m right like 99% of times
Listen man, there’s only one way for me to get my blue ink magic back, and it aint playing WoM
