And I could remove armor builds in arcane odyssey with some mild reworking, just give players a base stat buff and increase diversity in different methods of fighting, my genuine opinion about ao is armor sets are kind of annoying to deal with, and I do believe they could be removed without extremely severe consequences, but just because a lobotomized person is alive doesnât mean they are working at full capacity does it?

Technically yes, but build variety is made not only by class choice, but also by your armor build.
This would not be a small rework, it would be massive and fundamentally change the gameplay.
In deepwoken, without permadeath, the gameplay would remain identical, players would simply not be looking over their shoulders worrying about getting ambushed all the time.
There would simply be less random bullshit hurdles that get in the way of players actually enjoying the game.
